FAQ
| | Consultative Call Transfer - Forwarding a call after consultation | | The telephony service "consultative call transfer" is usually used for forwarding a call after the first person who was called spoke to the caller. This is useful if a secretary is called and forwards the call afterwards to the responsible person.
Because the standardization for different kinds of call transfer is not common throughout the industry (especially for H323), it is necessary to verify interoperability between different kinds of IPT environments.
Implementing the "consultative call transfer" in an environment where the Cisco CallManager and the Asterisk PBX communicate over H323 can for example only be done if the H323 channel is adapted (realized in the Obelisk platform). | |
